JOSEPH CHOÏ
Joseph ChoÏ has been living in Paris since 1992, engaging in artistic activities both domestically and internationally. Through his paintings, he layers ambiguous and fragmented subjects like dreams, reality, memories, and myths, reflecting aspects of his life and ego. He states, "The unconscious brushstroke in painting is mandatory, and the interplay between unconscious and intentional actions should be appropriately repeated since life is full of unpredictable elements." People express their emotional state through facial expressions, eye contact, hand gestures, and other body language. The various faces in each work represent the artist himself. Although they are all different people, the expressions of their eyes, facial expressions, etc. are the same as the artist's own eyes and facial expressions. By projecting other people, the artist is expressing himself in his memory. He has a great sense of color. He used to work at the Louvre Museum in his young. He has seen lot of masterpieces and it affects his painting in many ways.Joseph ChoÏ has showcased his work in exhibitions in South Korea, Japan, Paris, and London, garnering recognition with pieces owned by the La Courneuve City Hall in France, as well as numerous private collectors.Recently, he had several successful exhibitions and participated several art fairs.
